Environics Analytics Names Alterna Savings Client of the Year

Environics Analytics (EA), the marketing services and data analytics company, has named Alterna Savings its Client of the Year for 2013.

Environics Analytics (EA), the marketing services and data analytics company, has named Alterna Savings its Client of the Year for 2013. At EA’s Seventh Annual User Conference last week, EA President Jan Kestle praised the Ontario-based credit union as “an industry leader in adopting an analytics approach to decision-making. They’ve shown how integrating people, data and techniques can help organizations better understand their members and identify opportunities for growth.”

Alterna Savings was recognized for its data-centric approach to strategic and tactical decisions, using data to devise cost-effective marketing campaigns and achieve business objectives at its 24 branches. Over the past two years, the credit union has leveraged data-driven insights across its organization—from executive management to front-line staff operations—to strengthen its relationship with current members and attract new ones. “Their approach really exemplifies how data integration can bring success to an entire organization,” says EA’s Kestle. “It was truly a collaborative effort between Environics Analytics and Alterna Savings.”

The award was presented at EA’s annual user conference, which this year attracted more than 400 representatives from companies and not-for-profits in a range of sectors. With a conference theme of “Integration 2013,” the day-long event featured case study presentations, a keynote address and a panel discussion on the ways organizations can integrate data analytics throughout their operations to better reach customers and markets. Among the presenters were executives and marketers from Suncor, Arc’teryx, the Royal Canadian Mint, Shaw Flooring, Parks Canada, 20 VIC, SickKids Foundation and R.L. Polk Canada.

In announcing the Client of the Year award, EA’s Kestle praised Pamela Stewart, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Alterna Savings, for her leadership in bringing advanced analytics to the credit union. “We’re delighted that Environics Analytics has honoured Alterna for the journey we are taking towards placing our members at the centre of our business,” says Rob Paterson, CEO of Alterna Savings. “We’re proud of our collaboration and appreciate the recognition.”
