Environics Analytics (EA) announced today that it has acquired the business and assets of Generation5 from Voltari Canada.

Environics Analytics (EA) announced today that it has acquired the business and assets of Generation5 from Voltari Canada.

Under terms of the agreement, Generation5’s demographic, behaviour and segmentation product lines will be maintained alongside existing EA products in order to meet the needs of users of both systems. Over time, the two teams plan to explore synergies and opportunities to develop new data and analytics products to meet the changing needs of the market.

“With the Generation5 experts joining our team, we now have even more tools, data and strategies to help Canadian marketers connect with their customers and grow their business,” said Jan Kestle, President of Environics Analytics. “We are very excited about the new opportunities this will allow us to offer to both companies’ customers.”

“We look forward to joining EA and together helping marketers leverage data and analytics so they can succeed in today’s competitive environment,” said Michael Vainder, Director of Analytics at Generation5. “We believe that this offers the best path forward for Generation5, its products, its customers and its staff.”

Both companies are well-regarded providers of consumer information and marketing analytics. As a result of the acquisition, marketers will be able to turn to a single resource for such popular segmentation systems as PRIZM and MOSAIC as well as micromarketing tools like ENVISION and Portfolio™.

Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, EA has quickly grown to become the leading marketing services and data analytics companies in Canada. The Toronto-based firm has developed a lengthy client list among Canadian companies by providing proprietary data, purpose-built software and industry-focused consulting to help organizations better understand their customers and markets.

The announcement of the acquisition was made at the Seventh Annual Environics Analytics User Conference held at Arcadian Court in Toronto. More than 400 professionals involved in marketing, digital media, site location analysis and customer relationship management attended the day-long event.
