Environics Analytics Names Nielsen Canada 2016 Partner of the Year

Toronto, November 30, 2016 – Environics Analytics (EA), one of North America’s leading marketing and analytical services companies, has named Nielsen Canada its Partner of the Year for 2016. At EA’s recent Tenth Annual User Conference, EA President and CEO Jan Kestle praised the organization as “an outstanding partner” over the past year as the two companies worked together in transferring Nielsen’s Canadian Spectra services and clients to EA. “From senior management to sales and client service, Nielsen Canada collaborated with EA staff so that clients experienced a seamless transition in service,” said Kestle.

In December 2015, EA acquired Spectra’s services, including segmentation and targeting solutions for the grocery, retail and consumer packaged goods industries for Canada. Under the agreement, Spectra clients gained access to EA’s suite of proprietary data, purpose-built software and industry-focused analytics that provide expertise in segmentation, site modelling and custom analytics. In addition, EA and Nielsen agreed to work together to provide an expanded range of data-driven services to help clients better understand their customers and markets.

“The transfer of clients and offerings from one company to another can be fraught with challenges, but Nielsen Canada worked closely with us to ensure an orderly transition,” said EA’s Kestle. “Nielsen Canada has been a supportive partner throughout the process, and we applaud their collaboration with EA staff to serve our customers. We’re already working together on new segmentation and data-based products to help marketers and analysts make even smarter decisions.”

Mike Ljubicic, Managing Director of Nielsen Canada, thanked EA for the award. “We’re honoured to be recognized by Environics Analytics as its Partner of the Year,” said Ljubicic. “At Nielsen Canada, we are committed to a client-first approach to serving our customers every day. So it’s gratifying to receive this recognition that our collaborative efforts, led by Krista Thompson, ensured a smooth transition of the Canadian Spectra products and services to best serve our customers.”

The Partner of the Year award was presented at EA’s annual user conference, which this year attracted more than 500 participants representing a variety of industries as well as the not-for-profit and public sectors. With a theme of “The Analytics Age: Building on the Foundation,” the day-long event featured 16 client case study presentations, a keynote address on “How to Be a Data Motivator,” and demonstrations of data-based business intelligence tools, such as EA’s popular PRIZM5 and ENVISION5. Presenters included executives from Walmart Canada, TELUS Communications, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, The Hershey Company, Toronto Police Service, Carlton Cards, Yellow Pages, Clear Channel Canada, Canadian Tire, Government of the Northwest Territories, Royal LePage, Carlson Wagonlit, Rocky Mountaineer, Brookfield Residential Properties, Steinbach Credit Union and York Region.
